Hall et al. makes an important contribution to the policy debate on the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic on children. It highlights potential issues with distance learning and discusses the learning deficiencies and inequalities created during the past two years. The adverse effects on children and their learning outcomes cannot be stressed strongly enough.
