Traditional modelling of the returns
to education are based on a
specification that has proved
very popular for its simplicity but whose
robustness is suspect. This talk
will explore the possible sources of bias
in traditional modelling with
special attention focussed on the assumption
that education, as measured in
our data, is randomly assigned to individuals.
