The project studies productivity enhancing mechanisms in the service sector with the emphasis being on . how to effectively combine ICT with intangible investments. The results of the project can be utilized in policy initiatives aimed at improving productivity, innovation policy and management of private and public services.
The first part of the project analyzes the present-day and future productivity of the service sector from the point-of-view of the whole society. The second part carries out studies in individual organizations. These organization-specific studies focus on the determinants of productivity in both private and public services.
The project co-ordinator is Dr. Antti Kauhanen. The project is funded by Tekes (the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation) and the Technology Industries of Finland Centennial Foundation. It is scheduled to run from 1 February 2011 to 31 December 2013.
